Kick Banner
(AKA Nicholas Banicevic)
With over a decade in the fast-paced world of television, film and digital media, I've honed my skills as an editor, producer, and content creator. Graduating with High Distinction from UNSW with a Bachelor of Media (Screen and Sound), I've dedicated years to mastering an array of editing tools, from the robust Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop) to the intricate workflows of Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, and Da Vinci Resolve. My forte lies in crafting compelling edits, stunning visual effects, and polished motion graphics that leave a lasting impression.
Renowned for my lightning-fast editing chops and ability to deliver under tight deadlines, my work has not only left an indelible mark on award-winning productions, but also played a pivotal role in securing funding for feature films and top-tier TV shows. During my time at Essential Media and Entertainment, I single-handedly crafted sizzle reels and pitch materials that propelled the sale of over 70 original projects for our team.
Recently, I've been involved in cutting-edge productions like "Guillaume's French Atlantic", "Eurovision", "Plat du Tour", and the acclaimed feature documentary "Aquarius", a contender for Best Documentary at the 2024 Sydney Film Festival. Alongside these achievements, I've collaborated closely with industry legends such as Sam Neill on "The Pacific", delved into the world of sport with Shane Warne for the Amazon Prime documentary "Shane", and worked alongside Australian music icons on the acclaimed film "The Go-Betweens: Right Here", helmed by visionary director Kriv Stenders.
Beyond the editing suite, you'll find me going for 10KM runs, hitting the gym, exploring food scenes all over the world, playing guitar, writing and listening to music, cracking jokes with mates, and most of all, savouring a good cup of coffee. Because at the end of the day, it's about enjoying every moment…on and off-screen.
